Jim Hansel, one of America’s premier wildlife, nature and landscape artists, is an artist with a twist. At age 6, Jim was diagnosed with a degenerative eye condition called Stargardts.

This eye condition has left him legally blind. In spite of his limited vision, he pursued his passion for painting with the use of low vision devices and has become one of the most collected artists in the United States and Canada. As a result of his partial loss of vision, Jim hopes to serve as an inspiration to the American spirit in overcoming his disability and pursuing his passion for art. With images in nature, wildlife and Americana, Jim shows versatility and love of his subjects.

Home Of The Brave - This painting was created as a tribute to military, law-enforcement and firefighters. It’s a combination of God, Country and family all rolled up into one. Check out the American flag in the sky which represents the blanket of freedom which flies over all of us.

Land Of The Free - this painting was created as a companion piece to Home Of The Brave. It’s unique perspective gives the viewer and aerial view of the Stars and Stripes.

Can’t Bear To Look - This playful image captures the curiosity of two black bear cubs as you watch them through your window.

    Looks like an original painting. Nice frame and stunning art work.

    I am on a fixed budget so I am buying these in stages but extremely happy with my framed print.

    I will keep these as treasured pieces in my home. Affordable and high quality like everything from my store and my pillow.

    My only warning. Once you buy one you are going to want to buy more. Great gift idea.

    These are GREAT!You really should look into making your artwork into Fabric Panels for quilters!

    Quilters would be in heaven if you made your prints into center fabric panels! They could buy the matching pillows from the site here to add to the bed after they’ve bought one of your lovely fabric panels and made it into a quilt for the bed! Imagine a room dressed in full coordination!

    23 years ago my husband and I purchased our first home. As a house warming gift, my parents (wildlife art dealers) gifted me a framed print of my choice-any artist. I chose Twilights Fire by Jim Hansel. His work draws you into the scene and creates a story. For my Ranger husband, this print spoke to his love of the boundary waters and childhood camping days. Amazing and talented artist!

    For Valentine’s Day, my husband gave me a framed “Seaside Rendezvous” and a matching pillowcase. The print is beautiful and combines two of my favorite things: the beach and lighthouses. They remind me of another favorite artist of mine, Thomas Kinkade. Your story is very inspirational and your art is gorgeous. I’m very happy to have two of Jim Hansel pieces of artwork.
