A Minute for Caregivers – When Every Day Feels Like Monday is the newest book from author/radio host and caregiver, Peter Rosenberger. Drawing upon nearly forty years caring for his wife, Gracie, through a medical nightmare, Peter offers easy to read, 1-minute chapters to point fellow caregivers to safety.
“My wife has a Savior—I’m not that Savior. I merely serve as a steward while directing her and others to the One who provides grace and strength to endure—even if it’s for one minute at a time.” This closing paragraph of A Minute for Caregivers: When Every Day Feels Like Monday may be the starting place for a new caregiver.
Peter Rosenberger’s new book addresses the challenges of caring for a loved one through illness, injury, of reprieve from responsibility. The brief chapters are packed with words of encouragement and empathy for the spouse, parent, child, sibling—anyone—who is traveling the road of caregiving. This little book has huge perspective for facing another day as a caregiver and not feeling guilty for taking a minute to care for yourself.
With personal testimony from Peter, reminders of God’s promises in Scripture, and even tips for friends of caregivers, A Minute for Caregivers has a place on every shelf. When you don’t know how to keep going as a caregiver, read this book. When you don’t know how to support the caregiver in your life, give this book. It will bring a smile through the tears.
