Freedom Scarves are a blend of nature, photography and faith. Patterns on scarves are a small collection of pictures displayed on light weight, poly chiffon material. Artist & creator Ken Voigt likes to call his photographic art, ‘Tremography.’ A specialized green technology was used in manufacturing to increase color retention. Each work of art was selected by Ken for “color, movement and beauty." All scarves measure 70” X 18” and are Made in the USA.
Ken’s Story: A Gift of Hope and Inspiration
In 1979, Ken was accidentally exposed to a solvent that caused damage to his central nervous system and lungs. As he grew older, he developed physical limitations, resulting in severe physical tremors throughout his body. Prior to his symptoms worsening, Ken loved photography and capturing nature, in the woods near his home. One day, he discovered his tremors prevented him from taking photos like he was used to. Out of frustration, he yelled out to God, “Why! For the thousandth time (has this happened to me)!” At that moment, he found an overwhelming sense of peace. He looked down at his photos and thought the pictures he took were not a failure after all, but rather a beautiful array of color and motion. The beauty of nature was still there. He believes he discovered a new form of photographic art he calls ‘Tremography.’ Ken continued to practice his art of ‘Tremography’ and has sold his artwork on scarves at various art fairs. Ken attributes all his blessings to “the glory of God.” He hopes his story inspires others to see the blessings in their own lives and he hopes all who wear his scarves enjoy some of his “gifts from above.”
